Making sense of his latest GTA hint, a Vice City TV series that will star legendary rapper 50 Cent is currently in development. It was rumored that rapper 50 Cent might appear in the next Grand Theft Auto 6 when he released a large GTA: Vice City teaser at the beginning of March.
Some Huge Names
Fans also questioned whether the release date for GTA 6 would be revealed soon in light of the rumors. As it turns out, GTA 6 was not the subject of 50 Cent’s tease. Really, everything was done for a Vice City TV series. According to an exclusive story from Deadline, the Vice City television series, as it is currently known, will be produced by Lionsgate Television and streamed on Paramount+. Darnel Metayer and Josh Peters, who serve as writers and executive producers, are the minds behind the Vice City television series. Chad Stahelski will also serve as the film’s executive producer and director.
A Possible Plot
Moreover, Alex Young and Jason Spitz from 87 Eleven will be participating as well as 50 Cent’s production business G-Unit Film & Television. Three former friends and soldiers, who “return to their home city of Miami in the mid-80s after being dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran Contra scandal,” will be the focus of the Vice City television series, according to Deadline.
It therefore appears that it won’t be following the plot of 2002’s GTA: Vice City. The first trailer will reveal whether it will adhere to the tone of the cherished Rockstar Games classic, but we won’t know for sure until then. Hopefully they would listen to their fans and stay true to the game’s story and do their fans a huge favor!
