Coming Out on Top
Sons of the Forest, an open-world survival horror game that transports players to a secluded island inhabited by cannibals and other perils in search of a missing billionaire, also advanced in the concurrent player charts on Steam, with over 350,100 individuals playing the game concurrently. It totally beat out the peak of the Forest’s, and that would only mean good things for the game moving forward.
A Rough and a Good Start
The game was originally scheduled to launch last year but was delayed to finish up the finishing touches. However, because the game is in early access, the developers will still need to polish it further. Players are entrusted with locating a missing billionaire in this game, which is once more located on a lonely island. It’s not the best situation in the real world because this specific island is home to cannibals, but since this is a video game, no one really bats an eye. Sons of the Forest is now available for purchase on Steam and is scheduled to remain in early access for about six to eight months.
On the independent Steam database SteamDB, the survival game has already cracked the top 20 list of highest all-time peak players. The Forest, the developer’s previous game, is still incredibly popular and gained a following as a result of being mentioned by well-known streamers and YouTube content producers. Sons of the Forest may or may not be released on additional platforms at this time. The Forest was initially released on the PC in April 2018 and then on the PlayStation 4 in November.
