A new in-game tribute created by Mojang to Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade has solidified his place in the game’s universe. News of YouTuber Technoblade’s death from cancer at the age of 23 surfaced earlier this week. A video with Technoblade’s farewell comments and anecdotes about the adored content producer was posted online by the YouTuber’s father. The news came in a terrible and hurried manner.
Living Forever
The creator is now being honored by Minecraft itself. A pig wearing a crown can be seen among the other characters when the game’s launcher is opened in the Java Edition. Technoblade was well-known for portraying a pig wearing a red shirt, a crown, and a sort of royal attire.
Going the Extra Mile
Although it’s unclear at the moment whether Minecraft will include any other extra stuff, such as an official skin or anything else, this is undoubtedly a pleasant touch that fans seem to be enjoying. Additionally, the main lobby now has a “Memorial Guide” where players can write a note for Technoblade’s family. This was added by the Minecraft server Hypixel.
It is evident that Technoblade made a significant contribution to the Minecraft community because Mojang chose to publicly honor and promote him in the game’s launcher, making him accessible to everyone who plays the Java Edition of the game. Technoblade will undoubtedly be remembered given all of the comments on social media, several in-game tributes, and his YouTube video legacy.
