After winning his defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp has published a new song with disturbingly relevant lyrics. “This is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr” is a single from Depp and Jeff Beck’s upcoming collaborative album, 18, which will be released on July 15th.
What It’s About
Their song appears to be about the difficulties faced by Austrian-born actress Hedy Lamarr, who rose to stardom in the 1940s before switching to a career in technology during WWII.
Lining It Up
While the jury was deliberating in his defamation trial, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor lost no time in jumping on stage with English rock musician Jeff Beck. Beck said onstage after his shows that he and Depp were planning to release an album together.
