Go fast, fast, fast

The Fast and the Furious is another name for the Fast & Furious series of action movies, which mostly focus on family, heists, spies, and street racing. In addition, the franchise offers short films, a TV show, toys, video games, live performances, and theme park activities. Universal Pictures is in charge of distribution.

The original tetralogy of films focused on illicit street racing started with the first movie, which was released in 2001. It culminated in the movie Fast & Furious (2009).

Fast Five (2011) marked the series’ shift toward heists and espionage. Five sequels followed, with the most recent, Fast X, scheduled for release in May 2023. The Fast Saga is the name of the main movies.

The spin-off movie Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019) was added to the franchise by Universal, and its subsidiary DreamWorks Animation then produced the animated streaming television series Fast & Furious Spy Racers.

All of the movie soundtrack albums as well as compilation albums with pre-existing music heard in the movies have been made available. Moreover, two short films with ties to the series have been made available.

All for family

According to GameSpot, Hollywood family man Vin Diesel was speaking with Variety about the upcoming eighth installment of the Fast and Furious series.

Diesel, who is 55 years old and still in excellent physical condition for his age, was questioned about if the Fast and Furious series gets harder to shoot as time passes.

We are currently on the tenth film in this series, which debuted in 2001. There will be even more films in this series.

Diesel said that it’s the behind-the-scenes labor that offers the biggest hurdle, like expanding the franchise’s story, when asked whether age is a barrier rather than physical characteristics being a problem.

Without a doubt, it is quite difficult to create a movie series that will keep the audience interested. Fair enough, the Fast and Furious franchise’s managers must be doing something right as it has reportedly earned $6 billion at the box office so far.

We’re not sure if it’s too far-fetched to compare the Fast and Furious tale to The Lord of the Rings mythos, though. even by the standards of anyone.

What becomes harder, you ask? the background work. There is a reason why Tolkien stopped writing after a while because of all the thinking and extending, Diesel stated. “Because maintaining mythology is so difficult. It’s not considered in that context, but it does exist.

Diesel answered, “Well said, from your mouth to God’s ears, it’s so true,” to the interviewer’s remark that Fast and Furious is “The Lord of the Rings of action movies.”

Fast X, er, The King of the Furious, will be released in theaters on May 19 in the US and the UK and now features Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman.
