A Vermont judge has heard Ezra Miller’s not guilty plea to burglary charges. The actor virtually appeared in court with their attorney Bennington. Miller, who self-identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, was accused of breaking into a property while it was occupied and of petty theft. They risk receiving up to 26 years in jail if found guilty of both charges.
The Big Issue
On May 1, 2022, the 30-year-old is accused of breaking into a house in Stamford, Vermont. Variety claimed that Vermont State Police discovered many missing bottles of alcohol from the house after conducting an inquiry while the owners were away.
A String of Bad Luck
The troubled actor was detained in Hawaii on two different occasions: first in March for disorderly behavior and harassment during an incident at a karaoke club and once more in April for an alleged assault in which Miller is believed to have struck a woman on the head at a private property.
Miller apologized for his previous actions in August and started receiving mental health treatment. On the professional front, Miller made his acting debut as “The Flash” in Joss Whedon’s 2017 film “Justice League.” In “The Flash,” which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 23, 2023 after a number of delays, the actor will reprise his heroic role.
