Although it may seem contradictory, some experts are urging further investigation into the possibility that consuming energy drinks could lengthen life.

Now, the majority of energy drinks, including the most well-known ones like Red Bull, include a chemical called taurine.
Despite the fact that the ingredient in Red Bull is synthetic, it is a naturally occurring amino acid.
The interesting part is that when scientists tested taurine’s impact on mice, they discovered that it may really lengthen their lifespan.
Additionally, researchers at Columbia University in New York discovered that taurine levels decreased by about 80% as people aged, but that they could be restored, improving both the health and lifespan of mice and worms as well as the wellbeing of monkeys.
It goes without saying that humans are very different from mice and worms, yet it’s still interesting to study about.
Dr. Vijay Yadav, who oversaw the research team, wants to conduct a significant test to see whether humans will have the same advantages as the animals that have been studied.
In the study, taurine was given to some mice when they were about middle age but not to others.
The individuals who took the taurine ended up living longer than the control group when they were observed until the very end of their lives.
Mice of both sexes had life expectancies that were enhanced by around 10 to 12 percent, whereas life expectancies at 28 months were increased by 18 to 25 percent.
Additionally, their stomach, immune system, fat, pancreas, brain, and bone health were all improved.

They also discovered related material in monkeys.
The researchers published their findings in the science journal: “Taurine abundance declines with age.
“Taurine supplementation enhances health span, life span, and health span in mice, worms, and monkeys by reversing this decline.
This shows that these species’ taurine deficiencies are a major cause of aging.
Since we don’t yet know the full truth, scientists aren’t now advising anyone to change their taurine intake.
While energy drinks may include some taurine, they also frequently contain ingredients that may not be the best for you.
Prof. Henning Wackerhage from the University of Munich stated: “A human intervention research is what we really need right now.

For now, there is not yet a successful scientific evidence to support the claim that drinking energy drinks can extend one’s lifespan to 100 years. Longevity is determined by a variety of factors, including genetics, lifestyle choices, and overall health.
