Horror fans never cease to astonish me, no matter what sort of media they like. I usually take that as a sign to leave and swear never to watch a show or movie if I hear that it will terrify me to the point that I might never again have a good night’s sleep.

However, some who enjoy all things spooky are just wired differently, and when something is described as giving them nightmares, it’s no longer a caution but a promise.

Because of this, I have no doubt that many people will be intrigued by the current science fiction horror series, FROM, which claims has left many viewers “too scared to sleep.”

Spine-chilling Horror

For the benefit of those who are unfamiliar, “From” is a meticulously crafted and deeply unsettling horror fiction TV series that takes viewers on an unforgettable journey into the heart of darkness.

Set in a desolate town shrouded in perpetual night, the series explores the lives of its inhabitants as they grapple with their deepest fears and the menacing forces that lurk in the shadows.

Each episode of “From” weaves together a haunting tapestry of interconnected narratives, delving into themes of isolation, loss, and the human capacity for evil.

The series expertly blends elements of psychological horror, supernatural suspense, and visceral scares to create a truly immersive and chilling viewing experience.

Its atmospheric cinematography, eerie soundtrack, and intricate storytelling draw audiences into a world where the line between reality and nightmare becomes increasingly blurred.

As the characters confront their darkest secrets and confrontations with the unknown, “From” relentlessly ratchets up the tension, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.

With its compelling characters, thought-provoking themes, and unrelenting sense of dread, “From” stands as a standout entry in the horror genre, inviting audiences to confront their own fears and embrace the chilling allure of the unknown.

Highly Acclaimed Series

It would be an enormous understatement to say that the first season, which was published in April 2022, was well praised; it scored a 96% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Even though the second season has only recently started, it already has a 100% critic score, which is the best possible rating.

Indeed, the only drawback that comes to mind is the possibility that watching it can cause nightmares.

Fans have been emphasizing how horrifying the show is on Twitter: “I am completely and utterly OBSESSED and in love with FROM. Easily one of my [favourite] shows in a long time. I’ve never been so scared of a TV show, literal nightmares at night but still want more. It needs to stay on forever, Sunday has become my [favourite] day of the week,” @elle3305 tweeted.

“Just watched the first two episodes of FROM. Won’t be getting any sleep tonight now!” wrote @liamdoc07. “This is the scariest show I’ve ever watched, it so good,” added @LowkeyNinja.

The second season of FROM is currently only running in the US, but you can see the complete first season of the show on NOW TV in the UK. Hopefully, it will soon be available internationally.
