A Lot of Backup

Following the 4.3 million signatures on a Change.org petition to fire Heard last week, Johnny Depp followers are now looking for the next Queen Mera to take her place.

Lowering the Odds

The fact that Heard’s agent testified that her role in Aquaman 2 was cut due to “the lack of chemistry between her and Jason” adds fuel to the fire.

Aquaman 2 has been pushed back to 2023, with filming already done, in the hopes of repeating the success of the first picture, which became a box office hit making over $1 billion. Reshoots to include a fresh actress would be prohibitively expensive for the studio.
