The fact that Adam Devine is not Adam Levine has been made clear.
Although the Maroon 5 singer and the Pitch Perfect actor share a name, the actor is quick to emphasize that he is a very different person with a very different life.
Devine felt the need to draw attention to this distinction when Levine became embroiled in a scandal involving Instagram model Sumner Stroh, who shared screenshots of DMs she said the singer had sent to her.

It’s Devine, not Levine.
Devine, 38, distanced himself from the news-grabbing incident by posting a picture of himself and his wife, actor Chloe Bridges, on Instagram.
“Just want to publish this and say that my wife @chloebridges and I are doing great and going strong,” he wrote in the caption of the picture.
“I am not Adam Levine. He’s a different guy and a worse singer.
“We are however naming our future baby Sumner.”
Whether you missed the reference in the last line, Sumner claimed that Levine had requested if he may name his unborn child Sumner.
Levine and Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo wed in 2014, and the two are parents to Gio Grace and Dusty Rose.
Levine allegedly wrote in a direct message to Sumner: “Cool serious question. I’m having another baby and if it’s [a] boy I really want to name it Sumner. You ok with that? DEAD serious.” The pair revealed earlier this month that they are expecting a third child.
Levine has since denied having an affair, but he has acknowledged stepping over the line at a “regrettable time” in his life.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (20 September), the 43-year-old wrote: “A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner.
“I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life.
“In certain instances it became inappropriate. I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.
“My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naïve and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make,” he added.
“I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together.”
So to be clear, it’s Adam Devine, not Adam Levine alright?
