The Last of Us adaptation from HBO has now received a first glimpse, and it is really magnificent. Just a few months ago, the series’ filming came to an end. Although HBO gave us a few stills, we’ve all been eager to watch Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Ellie and Joel in action.
A Cool Beginning
Beginning quite quietly, Joel and Ellie are seen crossing a bridge covered in snow. This is notable because the two really spend the majority of the game’s “Winter” portion apart. Following that, we have a brief glimpse of Joel cradling a horrified Sarah during the show’s prologue, as well as him instructing Ellie on how to use a rifle.
As Iconic As Ever
There is a brief dialogue excerpt from one of The Last of Us’ most recognizable scenes while this is taking place. When I got on to Twitter this morning, the majority of my feed was noting on just how much Pedro sounds like voice actor Troy Baker. The farmhouse dispute between Joel and Ellie is quite memorable.
