Supernatural star Nicki Aycox has sadly died at the age of 47.
Condolences to the bereaved family
Susan Raab Ceklosky, the actress’ sister-in-law, sent a touching message on Facebook to announce the awful news.
She wrote: “My sister-in-law Nicki Aycox Raab passed away yesterday with my brother Matt Raab by her side. She was gorgeous, clever, fierce, extremely talented, and loving.
“Matt and Nicki lived a beautiful life in California. She was undoubtedly a fighter, and she was adored by everyone.
Ceklosky posted images of Aycox with her husband and their two children in addition to the writing.
The celebrity, who portrayed Meg Masters in the fantasy drama series, died on November 16 after being given a leukemia diagnosis in 2020.
On her Instagram feed, where she kept fans informed about getting chemo, having surgery, and keeping a positive attitude, she had been bravely documenting her medical story.
In March 2021, Aycox first revealed the information in a post that began, “Sorry 4 time away, I can’t believe my last 3 months, but it makes sense now.
“In January and February, I got really sick and thought I had COVID. Things did indeed come to a head. I was eventually hospitalized and given a Lukemeia diagnosis.
Since Aycox passed away, friends and coworkers have paid tribute to her, including Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.
He posted on Twitter as follows: “I was devastated to learn of the tragic passing of the legendary Nicki Aycox, our first MegMaster.
“She was delightful and delivered lines with venom and honey. I’m in awe of how she elevated a common phrase like “lackluster” to legendary status.”
Jim Beaver, a co-star, added: “With Nicki, I watched my first Supernatural episode.
I’m so sorry to hear about her passing; she was a wonderful actress and a wonderful coworker. Rest well, my friend.
Sad news for the Supernatural family wrote fellow actor Samantha Ferris.
Nicki Aycox (Meg Masters) seems to have transitioned to the following realm. The original SPN badass, she was.

It’s a terrible day in the #Supernatural universe, wrote one fan, who was among the admirers who were equally devastated.

Aycox’s acting career had included a number of other parts in addition to her appearance on Supernatural, such as Dark Angel, Jeepers Creepers 2, and Providence.
