How It Goes

The Resident Evil television series on Netflix featured a unique tale set in the Resident Evil universe. Albert Wesker and his two daughters, Jade and Billie, relocate to New Raccoon City, which has been established in a parallel reality by the Umbrella Corporation.

And How It Went

Although it premiered in the Top 10, the series swiftly disappeared from view after receiving a mixed response from reviewers and viewers. The show alternates between this New Raccoon City plot and one that takes place 14 years later, when the T-Virus obliterates the human population.

Numerous adaptations of Resident Evil have been made, including the reboot Welcome to Raccoon City and a number of commercially successful movies. Although the latter game may be the most closely related to the original in terms of adaptation, most Resident Evil adaptations have mainly used the original stories to develop new ones. The Cowboy Bebop live-action series and other adaptations were previously canceled by Netflix. This is also the service’s most recent cancellation.
