Logan Paul has discussed his relationship breakup with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the “saddest time” of his life.
“Saddest Moment of Logan’s Life”
The 27-year-old YouTuber revealed it to podcaster True Geordie, whose real name is Brian Davis, and said it occurred following his now-famous choice to video a suicide victim in Japan’s Aokigahara forest.
After the 2017 event, Paul claimed that he “rightfully” found himself “in a hole” because the world had saw him look at the dead man’s body in bewilderment before laughing.
He continued by saying that Johnson, who had collaborated with Paul on many videos earlier in 2017, had requested his publicist contact Paul in order to dissolve all relations as a result of the criticism.
When Dwayne requested that all photos and videos of him and he be taken down, he said, “Hey, Dwayne’s asked that you remove every picture and video that you’ve done with him and maybe in the future the relationship can be reconciled but for now he basically wants nothing to do with you,” which I also understood, the actor said.
“[I] was] extremely low mentally, and I got a call from my publicist who is also repped,” the actor said.
“I understand. You know, I made a horrifying mistake, and he has experienced things in his life where, like many others, that tragedy touched him personally.
“So that’s what I got, and it was the other thing… You do know that you make your bed, right? “
The YouTuber said that this greatly wounded him since he believed he and the former WWE wrestler turned actor had a “open channel of communication.”
“But I just wish I’d gotten like a call or a text or something because I thought we had a good relationship, an open line of communication, and I was so sad that my idol had nothing to do with me. And I was sad because I understood it, I really f***ed up,” Paul added.
“I was so disappointed in myself that I made a commitment to change and improve. As time passed, I started doing good… I merely wished to establish a connection with Dwayne.
Paul continued by saying that his attempts to win Johnson back eventually succeeded, and Johnson did send him a pleasant note regarding one of his Instagram videos “like if nothing ever occurred.”
But he said that because he was “still hooked on what happened back then,” he was unable to respond at the time.
Must be tough times.
