Numerous fan initiatives have aimed to materialize Yu-Gi-Oh’s holographic monster clashes into reality through virtual reality. Eventually, franchise custodian Konami unveiled its interpretation of this idea at the 25th anniversary Yu-Gi-Oh event. Among the attractions at Tokyo Dome, Japan, was a 15-minute Yu-Gi-Oh VR demonstration utilizing Meta Quest 3 technology and the streamlined Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Links VR game.

According to IGN, Konami considers the Yu-Gi-Oh VR experiment a success, prompting the company to commit to further developing virtual reality experiences. However, the specifics regarding future Yu-Gi-Oh games remain uncertain.
