With his renowned depiction as the grouchy Jonah J. Jameson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films, J. K. Simmons has voiced the role numerous times. On the most recent episode of Michael Rosenbaum’s Inside of You podcast, Simmons made an appearance to talk about his illustrious career. When questioned about Jonah J. Jameson’s probable role in Sam Raimi’s adaptation of Spider-Man 4, the actor showed the greatest enthusiasm.

A Role to Remember

He appeared in Spider-Man: Far From Home, which hinted at the potential reappearance of the reporter we love to loathe. Once more, he made an appearance in No Way Home to publicly berate Peter Parker, and he even attends the Green Goblin fight. It would be a dream come true for fans to see Simmons’ original character return given how much of a pivotal character he is growing to be.

Primed for a Return

Simmons then explained: “Absolutely. I would do anything that Sam Raimi approached me with. I mean, almost anything. No Way Home brought back $1.9 billion at the box office against a $200 million budget, but, updates on the next Spider-Man MCU movie have been few and far between. The response to Maguire’s return was overwhelmingly positive and Jonah J. Jameson has shown up twice now, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility, though I wouldn’t pin all your hopes on it.

David Simmons was also invited to speak on the show about their relationship and the work that The UBU Project performs. The UBU Project is a nonprofit organization that promotes performing arts education. Its goals are to stop bullying, drug use, and suicide among young people as well as to teach them good coping mechanisms for emotional discomfort and how to show empathy. On January 28, J. K. Tickets for the annual benefit event in Scottsdale, Arizona, featuring a variety of local performers, including and David Simmons, are now also available for purchase.
