J. Cole has agreed to play with the Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Canadian Elite Basketball Organization, the league announced on May 19.
Rising Star
Cole will join the club for training camp the following week, and the Shooting Stars will play their first game on May 26. This is the rapper’s second year in a row performing professionally in Canada.
His Credentials
Cole played basketball for Sanford High School in North Carolina and briefly for St. John’s University. The Grammy Award-winning rapper, though, dropped out of the program to concentrate on his music career and has never participated in a Division I game.
While most basketball players could not juggle two careers, J. Cole has definitely proven himself. He aims to do better this year around and hopefully rake in more dough while he’s at it, and let’s not forget that he’ll be playing his heart out!
