Although Nintendo, Xbox, and other gaming platforms have their share of memorable tales and must-play single-player experiences, many players believe that PlayStation does it a tad bit better than the competition.

Staying True

There has been some legitimate anxiety about what that implies for Sony’s single-player PlayStation output given that the company has made it clear that it intends to continue exploring what it can achieve in the live service market. Herman Hulst, the president of PlayStation Studios, said. Hulst recognized that the business is “diversifying” in a recent interview with Axios, but insisted that single-player games will always be supported.

Following Success

“We have a history and a reputation for building these incredible narrative-driven single-player games, such as The Last of Us and Horizon and the upcoming God of War Ragnarok. Some of our biggest titles in the single player narrative-driven space are also our most profitable titles.” He then added.

He continued by saying that Sony has no plans to abandon the millions of players still using the PS4, implying that future cross-gen titles like Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West may be possible.
