It’s safe to say that every gamer respects Hideo Kojima, a titan in the industry. He has done a lot of good for the video game industry as the founder of Kojima Productions and the creator of a number of notable games, such as Death Stranding, Snatcher, and the Metal Gear series.

What did he Say?

He is renowned for posting his opinions on a variety of topics on Twitter. He used the stage earlier this year to call Paddington 2 “a masterpiece.” It’s safe to tell that he liked the new Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners based on his comments on it.

“I just watched ‘Cyberpunk Edgerunners’ in one sitting! Awesome! Great! Under the recent domestic anime situation, there was a feeling that famous Japanese studios were consumed by the overseas market, but not this one! This is a miracle of squeezing the trigger to the world,” he wrote. “For my generation, the world view and visuals remind me of Yoshiaki Kawajiri’s ‘Cyber City OEDO 808’.”

He is not the only one who enjoys the series, though. In fact, it appears that a significant influx of players has flocked to Cyberpunk 2077 as a result of the anime, with concurrent player numbers on Monday (19 September) being five times higher than those from the previous week.
