Arcane, a Netflix League of Legends series, is now the first streaming program to be awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program. Arcane earned the honor in the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles during the Creative Arts Emmys presentation.

Arcane faced stiff competition from The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Rick and Morty, and Marvel’s What If? Additionally, it received three other Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation Emmy Awards.

The return of Arcane for a second season will excite fans, though not much is known about that aspect of the plot just yet.
