A natural game life cycle exists. It’s can be quite the sad cycle, but it’s unavoidable. Grand Theft Auto V is one of the rare games that manages to break the pattern. GTA V has gone on to acquire an everlasting degree of success after surpassing its peak.
Going Strong
Grand Theft Auto V has the vitality of a game released just a year ago. People still buy it, play it, talk about it, and even stream it as if it were still fresh off of the shelves, despite the fact that it’s nearing its 10-year anniversary.
News by the Numbers
This takes the total number of copies sold for the game to an astonishing 165 million across all platforms. That’s the equivalent of over half of the population of the United States owning a copy, or the whole population of the United Kingdom owning the game twice and then adding in a little more.
It’s safe to assume that Grand Theft Auto V is still the best-selling video game of all time. However, it still has a long way to go before it can dethrone Minecraft. With how strong it’s still going that may happen in the near future, though.
