The concept of James Franco as Cuban revolutionary Fidel Castro in a forthcoming movie has drawn criticism. Despite all the criticism, though, some fans have thought of an excellent replacement for the contentious actor.
A Huge Comparison
Many movie fans online immediately pointed out how much Pedro Pascal from The Mandalorian resembles the former leader of Cuba. Although Pascal is not Cuban, his South American ancestry is, according to his supporters, at least an improvement over Franco’s.
Still a Part of It
According to a rumor from Deadline, Franco will co-star in Miguel Bardem’s upcoming biopic Alina of Cuba with Ma Maestro.
Natalia “Naty” Revuelta, the Cuban socialite with whom Castro had an intense relationship, will be portrayed by Maestro, while their daughter Alina Fernández will be played by Ana Villafae.
