The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the prequel film to The Hunger Games, has released its first teaser trailer. Suzanne Collins’ novel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which was released in 2020, will be the basis for the film.
The Plot
It follows an 18-year-old from the Capitol who goes on to become President Snow 60 years before the first Hunger Games novel. He’s been tasked with teaching Lucy Gray Baird, one of the Games’ tributes, but things start to become difficult when their fates become linked.
What to Expect
The newly released trailer shows a frozen bird and snake in the limbs of a snow-covered tree, but doesn’t reveal much about the film. The creatures begin to move as the ice melts around them, and the snake pounces on the bird as shown later on in the trailer.
