Giannis Antetokounmpo, one of the best basketball players in the world, will soon be working with Epic Games on a project for Fortnite. Epic has been laying out some of the upcoming crossovers that will be arriving to the game during December when Chapter 4 Season 1 for Fortnite arrives this week. Although the details of this collaboration with “The Greek Freak” have not yet been made public, we should find out more soon.
More to Come
Epic just revealed on social media that three crossover events will be taking place in Fortnite for the rest of the month. Along with the aforementioned collaboration with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Fortnite will also go up against MrBeast, a well-known YouTuber, and the hit anime series My Hero Academia. Though Epic specifically highlighted the My Hero Academia crossover in its newest Chapter 4 Season 1 trailer, there are still no details available on what each of these collaborations will entail.
Teaming Up with Big Names
This fresh Giannis x Fortnite collaboration might be included in the game’s Icon Series. Previously, Epic has collaborated with real-life superstars like Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, Harry Kane, Patrick Mahomes, and a great deal more to offer them in-game skins that are based on their likeness. In fact, fellow NBA player LeBron James previously collaborated in this manner and received three unique character skins for Fortnite as a consequence. Although the outcome of this crossover with Giannis is still uncertain, it appears that it will proceed similarly to how it did with LeBron.
All of the game’s platforms are currently live for Chapter 4 Season 1 of Fortnite. The new Battle Pass for this Season includes unlocking character skins for Doom Slayer from the DOOM series, and Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher will be added later. And while fans are waiting for this collab to happen, Fortnite has been managing to stay fresh and competitors on their toes with fresh ideas and even better ways for players to keep on their game!
