We finally got an amazing, clear look at The First Slam Dunk after a few teasers, some excitement, and some key art here and there. Takehiko Inoue, who also authored the manga series in 1990, makes her feature film debut with this.
Some Nostalgia
In the trailer We have nearly a minute of drama, action, and a killer soundtrack. Even though it’s lovely to have the original Shohoku back, some viewers, especially those who are accustomed to the more traditional visual style—might find the animation to be challenging at first. We still see their timeless appearances.
Knowing More
Slam Dunk first appeared as a manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1990. Thanks to its anime adaptation, the series went on to receive over one hundred television episodes and a few full-length films. It has been quite some time since Toei returned to this action-packed world of basketball after the anime ended in 1996, but this new film appears to be making up for lost time thanks to the new animation style being used.
