The Super Mario Bros. video game’s initial official trailer. the release of the film. Illumination’s interpretation of Mario was at least teased in a brief teaser that was presented during a Nintendo Direct and also at New York Comic Con.
At First Glance
In the trailer, Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Bowser make their initial appearances, along with a number of Koopas, Kamek, and Dry Bones. Many of these characters are also introduced to us for the first time. Oh, and there were also some penguins that were added into the mix.
Finishing Touches
Illumination’s CEO and founder, Christopher Meledandri, stated in the Direct that the animation for the movie will be finished in a week and that the team is currently working on lighting and other effects, with the score to be recorded in just 11 days. To ensure that iconic themes from the Mario series receive the respect and love they merit, the film’s composer, Brian Tyler, is “hand in hand” with famed Mario and Nintendo composer Koji Kondo.
