The third edition of the movie starring Michael “Magic Mike” Lane and his group of strippers, Magic Mike’s Last Dance, debuted its trailer on Tuesday. It teased a new romantic lead and a new chance for the dancing entrepreneur.
Initial Thoughts
In what appears to be a highly private moment, Mike demonstrates his skill at lap dancing to a wealthy socialite as the film opens with strong beach vibes in Miami. It is intimate in a variety of ways, keeping with this fantastic brand. Although it’s sexy, a genuine relationship develops as Mike finally finds someone who appreciates his talent.
A Call Back
After that, the teaser takes us back to the franchise’s beginnings with a flurry of stage dance sequences. A little joke that references the first film is also included at the conclusion, in which a woman believes she recognizes Mike from his time serving as a cop.
