More than ten years after the tragic Western video game initially debuted, Red Dead Redemption is still one of the most cherished video games of all time, thus it should come as no surprise that fans are still clamoring for a remake or remaster.
What is Red Dead Redemption?
Red Dead Redemption is said to be getting a remake from Rockstar Games at some point, although nothing official has been announced as of yet. Fortunately, a spectacular new joint effort by a small group of devoted enthusiasts has provided us with a tantalizing preview of what Red Dead Redemption will seem like running in Unreal Engine 5.
The Unreal Engine 5 adaptation of Red Dead Redemption by ENFANT TERRIBLE is really amazing and is everything you would expect it to be.
Rockstar’s enthralling open world’s arid gorges and verdant woods have never been more vibrantly alive; they even manage to compete with Red Dead Redemption 2’s already stunning visuals.
Below, you can see it in all its splendor.
THIS IS ONE GORGEOUS REMAKE
It’s possible that this isn’t the true Red Dead Remption remake, but it seems more and more probable that one is on the way.
The rumor that Rockstar was intending to rebuild John Marston’s journey using the most recent game’s engine and tweak language to incorporate allusions to Arthur Morgan and Red Dead Redemption 2’s events started almost immediately after the release of the game.
Other industry insiders and analysts have agreed this is likely, but aren’t willing to commit with 100% certainty to whether or not it will actually come to pass. To make matters even more interesting, a mysteriously deleted post on Reddit last year made the claim that a Red Dead Redemption remake would be released before GTA VI.
We can just continue to swoon over this gorgeous fan edit for the time being (and again).
