It appears like there may be adjustments in store for the release schedule. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Blade’s production has been halted. Blade was originally scheduled to hit theaters on November 3, 2023. This information comes after it was revealed last month that the film’s director, Bassam Tariq, had quit “due to continued shifts in (Marvel’s) production schedule”.
A Slight Pause
According to rumors, filming has been put on hold so that Marvel may continue to develop the movie and find a new director. According to reports, the new delivery date will be September 6, 2024, a delay of around 10 months. It appears that the studio plans to restart production in the early months of 2023.
Getting Things Right
The Hollywood Reporter quoted a source as saying that Marvel “wants to really get it right,” which is why a more thorough search for a new director is under progress. It just so happens that the revised release date would actually bring the movie out over 20 complete years since the release of Blade: Trinity, the final of the original three Blade movies. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait.
Wesley Snipes expressed his desire to enter the Star Wars universe earlier this year. As fans of the series since the 1970s, we’re pretty sure we’re not the only ones who would like to see that take place. And with that, hopefully Marvel would come up with a plan that pleases all its fans.
