Lil Pump was a little perplexed when he was not recognized in the middle of a crowded Japan street. The multi-platinum rapper was standing in the middle of a busy road in Japan and appeared to be genuinely baffled.

Pump shrugged his shoulders and nobody even batted an eye. Commenters were brutally critical of the video, with one writing: “So basically the same as the US.”

However, the online bullies didn’t stop there. In Pump’s defense, a subsequent video does show him taking selfies with a few Japanese fans. One guy remarked, “Yeah, his team probably paid them to pretend.
