A representative for Power Rangers actor Jason David Frank has confirmed to Geek Ireland that the actor has sadly passed away after the internet was abuzz with rumors early on Sunday morning.
You will be in our hearts, Power Ranger.
The actor first gained notoriety for his portrayal of Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, in the popular series. Even though the character was only intended to run for 14 episodes, the actor’s popularity led to his return as the White Ranger and the team’s new commander.
Although Jason’s family has not yet issued a comment regarding his loss, one of his representatives told Geek Ireland that the reports of his death were “regrettably real.”
Two posts in particular warned followers of the possibility that the actor had passed away before the fans heard from Jason’s agent.
Mike Bronzoulis, who was his trainer and a close friend, posted a photo of the two on Facebook along with the words: “RIP my brother from another mother Jason David Frank I’m still in shock I’m feeling awful he phoned left me a message and I took too long.”
I shall miss Jason, who was a good friend of mine. I send love and prayers to his wife Tammy and their children, asking that God will help them get through this trying time.
In a tweet that appeared to corroborate the news, the artist BossLogic wrote: “Rest in peace Jason David Frank Just spoke to you a few weeks ago… This is very tragic. My sympathies go out to the family.
I was reluctant to accept it. I still refuse to. Even the fact that this is unconfirmed was unknown to me.
I learned that we were working together on a project through that and the mutuals we use. Like everyone else, I’m horrified and devastated.
We had the pleasure of meeting Jason at the 2019 Dublin Comic Con, and we are saddened by his passing.
