Following his victory over UFC icon Anderson Silva in Glendale, Arizona, Jake Paul overcame another MMA competitor inside the squared circle. The Problem Child, who entered the ring for the first time since knocking out Tyron Woodley at the Amalie Arena in December 2021, did so while carrying the lowest weight of his professional career.
A Fight for the Ages
With his victory in the cruiserweight contest, Paul improved to 6-0 in professional competition and was one step closer to realizing his dream of winning the sport’s world championship. Beforehand, the two respected one another, and they even made a wager that significantly enhanced the stakes.
More Than a Bout
The now 47-year-old Brazilian entertained the 14,000 spectators at the Desert Diamond Arena with a showy performance. The Muhammad Ali shuffle appeared, the head movement was spot on, and Silva started working on Paul with clever combinations.
It was without a doubt Paul’s hardest test in his young career, with Silva demonstrating his expertise while also producing work of a high caliber. Paul was declared the victor by a unanimous decision after the contest went the distance.
