The Horizon TV series from PlayStation will reportedly go by the name Horizon 2074, which suggests that it is partially set during the fall of civilization that occurs 1,000 years before the games.
WHAT HORIZON IS GETTING ITS ADAPTATION?
According to accounts from business insider Jeff Grubb, who released the crew listing, the name was shared alongside the staff list on the Directors Guild of Ontario website.
The demise of civilization in the 21st century is described in the two PlayStation games (Zero Dawn and Forbidden West), which date a little earlier in 2066, and the year 2074 roughly coincide. The Horizon games’ main plot actually occurs about a thousand years later.
In May, Sony revealed that Gran Turismo and God of War, two other PlayStation game franchises, would also become multimedia franchises. Other than the fact that the Horizon 2074 will be available on Netflix, little is known about it.
Praises are received from the franchise’s second game, Horizon: Forbidden West, which was published earlier this year. Now, the series is forging new ground with Call of the Mountain, a virtual reality title coming to the PlayStation VR2.
