As at the time of writing, Cyberpunk 2077 has surpassed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II in the Top Sellers section of Steam. Although we don’t have exact sales data, Cyberpunk 2077 is presently outselling other recent bestsellers like Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Elden Ring, and Return To Monkey Island.
News by the Numbers
The newfound success of Cyberpunk 2077 is not just attributable to the new-gen patch from this year. After the publication of the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Netflix, the number of players has soared. We reported an increase of 70,000 gamers on Steam alone at the time of writing last week, and that number has since kept rising.
Coming Back Stronger
Undoubtedly, Cyberpunk 2077 is a tale of two parts. The fact that the game had numerous flaws and errors seemed to be the end of the journey, but oh no. That is the tale of the comeback. Cyberpunk 2077 ultimately achieved its promise after CD Projekt Red published a significant patch earlier this year, and it has since gone on to achieve an astounding feat.
