With the announcement of a “new show” where individuals compete to have his next child, Nick Cannon has riled up social media. Contestants are reportedly preparing to fight to become Nick Cannon’s next baby provider, as if the world of reality television and cinema could be any stranger than it already is with individuals taking on enormous red balls and stripping down butt naked on public television.

A Huge Announcement

As if having twelve kids wasn’t enough, Cannon posted about a reality show called Who’s Having My Baby on social media. Supposedly airing on E! in the Spring. Fortunately, even though it isn’t April Fool’s Day, it seems like International Women’s Day is a fantastic occasion to pull a practical joke because, according to Rolling Stone, the reality TV program is a hoax. As if he hadn’t already stirred up controversy, he teased a “major announcement” on his Instagram story the previous evening along with an emoji of a baby bottle, throwing fans into a flurry of speculation as to whether he would be expecting his thirteenth kid.

A Questionable Prank

Given the ridiculous nature of reality TV and game shows these days, the majority of Cannon’s fans weren’t immediately aware the ‘new program’ was a scam. But, they soon realized it was a joke after spotting comic Kevin Hart joining Cannon in the prank. The announcement was later denounced by a large number of people on social media.

However, the entire “new program” is a joke, according to Variety, and was created by Hart for a future project that will likely be revealed very soon. Despite the fact that we can all now exhale in relief, some social media users were not amused. It’s comforting to know that the world hasn’t yet entirely spiraled out of control.
