You’re undoubtedly all too aware of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s powerful psychological impact if you’re reading this.

Skyrim’s the brand new addiction

Even if Bethesda’s open-world RPG is getting up to its tenth birthday, there is still a certain enchantment to finding a special game for the first time.

Even though I didn’t start playing Skyrim until 2015, it nevertheless consumed weeks of my life and left me in awe just as much as it would have if I had done so in 2011.

I’m trying to make the point that showing someone Skyrim for the first time might be a very risky game, especially if you ever hope to see them again. Consider TwistSmith yt, a Reddit member.

TwistSmith yt made the decision to expose his wife to Skyrim after realizing that she had only ever been interested in Minecraft for years. The outcome? As you can see from the image below, it appears that she won’t be leaving the game anytime soon.

Hopefully, TwistSmith yt’s wife can complete her initial gameplay prior to the November release of Skyrim Anniversary Edition for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition releases November 11, 2021 for PlayStation 4 consoles with backwards compatibility on PlayStation 5 systems for fans looking to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Skyrim — or newcomers ready to take their first step into Tamriel’s northern landscape.”

The three main expansions—Dawn Guard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn—as well as all the graphic improvements from Skyrim Special Edition are included in this new edition of the game.

Over “500 unique pieces of Creation Club material, including quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells, and more” will also be included in this brand-new port. And a fresh fishing minigame, too. A fishing minigame is enjoyed by all.
