The actors reunited four years after their co-starring role in the 2019 murder mystery “Knives Out” for the Apple TV+ film “Ghosted,” where they must find a way out of a love gesture gone wrong. The “Ghosted” trailer, which debuted on Monday, depicts Evans and de Armas’s first encounter before what seems to be a promising first date. What a way to tease the movie with this amazing trailer!

An Interesting Plot

After one date, Cole, played by Evans, is shown in the trailer to be assured that Sadie is not simply “ghosting” him or ignoring his texts. He makes what he hopes will be a romantic trip to London since he is convinced that they are meant to be together, only to find out that Sadie is not who he thought she was and is actually a CIA agent. De Armas joins the movie following her recent Oscar nomination for “Blonde,” and what follows is a spy-thriller where “action speaks louder than words.”

Knowing a Bit More

Ghosted, which made its Apple TV+ debut on April 21st, was directed by Dexter Fletcher and co-written by Rhett Reese, Chris McKenna, Paul Wernick, and Erik Sommers. Tate Donovan, Amy Sedaris, and Mike Moh also make appearances. Evans and de Armas recently appeared as spies on opposing sides in The Russos’ high-budget Netflix film The Gray Man, which marks their reunion in Ghosted.

The movie’s plot is being kept a closely guarded secret, but in the latest teaser, Chris Evans plays a damsel in need of major saving from Ana de Armas’ master spy. Several fans now think the movie reminds them of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz’s movie, “Knight and Day,” after the channel aired the first trailer. Early reviews of the movie link it to the 1980s classic “Romancing the Stone,” which featured Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas.
