Thanks to a new mod from a group of developers who wanted to create chaos in Los Santos without having chaos created for them in the Online mode, the single-player tale of Grand Theft Auto V is now multiplayer.

COOP MODE: ON

Even though Grand Theft Auto V has been around for nine whole years, new players are continuously joining the franchise.

In publisher Take-Two Interactive’s most recent financial earnings call, CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that “Latest generation console gamers of Grand Theft Auto Online grew over 40% this quarter and are monetizing at a rate 36% higher than players on the prior generation.”

“Sales of Grand Theft Auto V also remained high, and to date, the title has sold-in almost 170 million units,” which is nearly half of the overall sales for the series of games. So it’s safe to say that many new gamers have yet to explore much of Los Santos.

Of course, playing Grand Theft Auto V’s spectacular heists with a pal makes it twice as much fun. You can choose to enter the game’s online mode, but you run the danger of meeting some sketchy characters who will purposely fail assignments.

What you require is online team play with a friend, a reliable comrade, or a companion you can rely on. And you can find that in the RAGECOOP-V mod, which is very helpful.

The mod is designed to enable friendly players to “complete missions together with your friends, use mods without any restriction/getting banned, or just mess around.

“Those three tenets describe what the majority of Grand Theft Auto players get up to in any given session, so it’s even better that you can now wreak havoc side-by-side.

Let’s try it out?
