There are several reasons for fans to be thrilled about the start of the new, rebooted DCU slate.

What’s next for them?

Superhero movies are currently the biggest genre in the world, and DC movies are undoubtedly a major player in this market.

After the release of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in 2013, we witnessed the beginning of a new cinematic age for the brand. However, with James Gunn and Peter Safran now in charge of DC Studios, things are about to drastically shift.

The following is a complete list of all the upcoming DC movies for fans of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and more to look forward to, including some installments that do not take place in the brand’s new, central cinematic canon.

In February 2023, Gunn mapped out an 8-10 year plan of what to expect from the first chapter of the DCU, dubbed “Gods and Monsters.”

Shazam! by David F. Sandberg, albeit not as popular as some other films featuring superheroes in costumes 2019 spring brought in a nice sum of money, totaling $363 million internationally.

That’s excellent news for Warner Bros., as they didn’t have much time to squander debating whether or not to produce a Shazam! 2.

The studio needs to move quickly since the youthful cast, which includes Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Caroline Currey, and others, won’t be young forever.

Thankfully, the follow-up is now just a few months away, and the project even has a name: Shazam! wrath of the gods’ Production on the film, which included the returning actors from the previous movie as well as Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, and Rachel Zegler as the main antagonists (Kalypso Hespera and Anthea), was completed in August 2021.

This is big news!

It was shockingly revealed last year that Henry Cavill will not be repeating his role as the man of steel in the “early phases” of the DC Universe. I’m sure I’m not the only one who was a bit worried about Superman’s future.

This Cavill-less Superman remake, as well as a few new Batman projects, have now been formally unveiled and given names, according to Radio Times.

Superman: Legacy, which is scheduled to debut on July 11, 2025, will serve as the “launch of the DCU,” according to DC Studios co-chairperson Peter Safran.

It hasn’t yet been revealed who would play Superman in the movie, but Safran described the story as focusing on how Superman reconciles his Kryptonian origin with his human upbringing. He personifies justice, honesty, and the American way. He embodies kindness in a society that considers it outdated.

The Batman Part II’s release date has at long last been announced. Don’t worry; despite the fact that there is a new Batman in The Brave and the Bold, Robert Pattinson will be playing the character again.

There is still a long wait as it isn’t scheduled to arrive in theaters until 3 October 2025 (thanks, Variety).

What do you say? This hardly touches the surface of what was said; more DCU TV shows, including Waller, Booster Gold, and Paradise Lost, were also confirmed.
