According to Aubrey Plaza, she would be interested in playing Lara Croft in a future film. On a recent episode of The Tonight Show, the 38-year-old discussed the cover and disclosed that one of her friends had texted her to tell her she looked exactly like the famous video game character.

An Opening for the Role

Even though it would sound a little unexpected, the Parks and Recreation actor taking on the part could yet happen. There is a chance because Tomb Raider actor Alicia Vikander has previously stated that she won’t be reprising the role.

Wishful Thinking

And in response to a question from Newsweek on the subject, Plaza stated she would be enthusiastic if the chance ever presented itself. “I have no idea what the future holds, but I love it,” she admitted.

Adding: “I love all kinds of movies. I would love it if somehow that turned into a real thing, but who knows, I have no idea. That’s an iconic character. She’s the original badass.” After pulling her own brand of a badass character on Parks and Recreation, it can be said that she could pull off that role well.
