Netflix Bounces Back from Woes with 2.4 Million New Subscribers

In the most recent quarter, Netflix added 2.4 million new customers. This comes after they lost $1,000,000 and $200,000 in the prior three months.

Getting More

Even though all regions had increased in comparison to the previous quarter, their research indicates that slightly more than half of these are from Asia and Oceania.

Meeting Expectations

The growth exceeds the one million members they had anticipated for this quarter. On the other side, Netflix stated at this time last year that they aimed to have 2.2 million more customers.

The “bingeable release model” they employ for new titles is the sole purpose for the spike. They specifically mention the popularity of Stranger Things’ fourth season and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which has received 1.35 billion viewing hours and 824 million viewing hours respectively.
