In a video titled “It’s been a minute,” Smith made an appearance on his YouTube channel and apologized while posing several questions about the incident. Rock hasn’t yet felt ready to speak with Smith, according to Smith, despite his attempts to reach out to him.

Clarifying Things Out

In addition, Smith claims that Rock’s joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, who was the target of the assault, didn’t tell him what to do at the time. Smith also expressed regret for “the heat that I brought on all of us” to his wife and kids.

Timing Is Key

Although Smith has already expressed regret for his behavior, this is the first time he has addressed the issue in front of the camera. The actor received a 10-year Oscars ban as a result of the slap, and many people wondered what his future professional moves would be.
