Upcoming James Bond Movie Will Mark the First Time He Ever Serves a King

The most well-known secret agent in the world has always served Her Majesty’s secret service in his roles as James Bond on the big screen. The role will be serving a king instead of a queen for the first time ever in the upcoming James Bond movie.

From the Very Beginning

Many Brits, including 007 himself, have never known another head of state before the Queen, who has been in power for 70 years and is thus the longest-reigning monarch in British history. Casino Royale, the first James Bond book, was published in 1953, the year Elizabeth II became Queen.

Last of Its Kind

No Time To Die, Bond’s most recent film, was released late last year and marked the end of Daniel Craig’s term in the role. Therefore, whoever the next 007 is, it may take some time before we get to see them in action.

It’s quite improbable that James Bond will serve a queen once more anytime soon with King Charles III now in power and William following in the line of succession. That is, of course, unless they choose to return to the past, as Bond bosses have promised that the upcoming 007 will be a “reinvention” of the character.
