The small kid stands tall now.

Stop Bullying, all types of it.

Some sources claim that Quaden is his parents’ lone child. Although his mother’s name is Yarraka Bayles, his father’s name remains unknown. In Australia, she is employed by The BlackCard Pty Ltd.

Australian boy Quaden Bayles, age 9, who was born in 2010 and with dwarfism, lives in Brisbane. After his mother shared a trending video on Facebook in February 2020, he attracted the attention of worldwide media.

In the video, Bayles explains that he can no longer put up with the persistent bullying he experiences at school. He also says that he wants to commit suicide to end his life.

Achondroplasia dwarfism is the ailment Quaden Bayles was born with. He serves as the spokesperson for the organization Stand Tall 4 Dwarfism, which was founded by his mother, Yarraka Bayles, to combat bullying.

When his mother Yarraka Bayles went live on Facebook two years ago, a video of the nine-year-old Bayles quickly became popular.

The child wailed in her car, having suffered bullying from his classmates that day because of his disability, “Give me a knife, I want to murder myself.” She implored, “I just picked up my kid from school, saw an instance of bullying, called the administration, and I want others to know – parents, educators, teachers – this is the effect that bullying has.”

The kid received an outpouring of affection and support from both well-known people and others who could relate to Bayles’ plight.

After watching the video, comedian Brad Williams—who also has achondroplasia, which the National Organization for Rare Disorders estimates affects one in 20,000 newborns—came out in favor of Quaden.

For the purpose of taking Quaden and his mother to Disneyland, Williams created a GoFundMe campaign. His objective was to collect $10,000. That sum has already reached $388,300 on Friday, February 21, 2020.

Hugh Jackman from Australia and Jeffrey Dean Morgan from The Walking Dead contacted Quaden via Twitter. In reaction to Bayles, the hashtag #StopBullying was also popular.

Who’s laughing now?

In the much awaited Mad Max: Fury Road prequel directed by George Miller and starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen, a young actor named Quaden Bayles who experienced bullying because of his achondroplasia dwarfism has been hired.

The popular video, nevertheless, had an unexpected result. Quaden’s parents were contacted by director George Miller about playing a part in his film Three Thousand Years of Longing, and the young actor so pleased Miller that Miller also hired him in the upcoming film Furiosa.

Considering that Bayles is just 11 years old and already refers to Anya Taylor Joy and Chris Hemsworth as “colleagues,” this may be the beginning of a successful career for him.

Fans expressed their excitement for the actor on social media when Bayles posted a screenshot of the film’s confirmed cast with the caption, “Can’t wait to watch on the big screen next year.” One of them said, “Congratulations Quaden, you are such a great young man.” Another person chimed on, “Knowing [you’re] in it, IT’S GONNA BE LIT!!!!” The movie Furiosa will debut on May 24, 2024.
