The wait has ended. Google first teased the Pixel Watch at its I/O event in May, and now the wearable has been officially unveiled.
Google enters the smartwatch race
The Pixel Watch has a right-side-mounted crown and a circular dome design overall. According to Google, the battery life of the Pixel Watch is said to last for 24 hours on a single charge.
The Google Pixel Watch integrates with Fitbit, enabling the wearable to offer a variety of health and fitness functions, including fall detection and what Google calls its “most accurate heart rate tracking yet.”
There are three colour options for the Pixel Watch: Black, Silver, and Gold. The Wi-Fi-only form of the Pixel Watch will cost $349.99, while the cellular model will cost $399.99.
A reasonable cost in comparison to other wearables available on the market, such as the just-announced Apple Watch extreme or the Series 8. Google has also announced that each Pixel Watch will come with three months of YouTube Music Premium and six months of Fitbit Premium.
This is gamechanging.
