The tiny screen will soon feature Sausage Party. The 2016 animated film’s cast members, including Seth Rogen, Michael Cera, Kristen Wiig, David Krumholtz, and Edward Norton, have been tapped by Amazon to reprise their roles as the anthropomorphic groceries in a spinoff series.

Behind It All

In 2024, the company wants to debut Sausage Party: Foodtopia. Jonah Hill contributed to the story, which was written by Rogen, Kyle Hunter, Evan Goldberg, and Ariel Shaffir then directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan.

What It’s All About

It presented the tale of a sausage that resides in a grocery store and learns the reality of what occurs when groceries are bought. He sets off on a journey with his buddies in an effort to escape their fate, but he must also contend with a crazed character who is out to get him.

The movie “Sausage Party” made its world premiere in March 2016 at SXSW before getting an August theatrical release. The R-rated movie exceeded expectations at the box office, earning almost $140 million globally against a purported $19 million budget.
