Samuel L. Jackson Would Rather Be Nick Fury Instead of Being Upset With Oscars Snub

Samuel L. Jackson had never won an Oscar despite performing in films for the majority of his life until he received an honorary award earlier this year. He does not, however, want the Oscars to define him.

Focusing on the Brighter Side

Jackson discussed his history of snubs and how he still enjoys attending the ceremonies in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times. He also stated that he would prefer focus on films that make him happy rather than attempting to win an Oscar.

His Own Success

He’s explained how an Oscar wouldn’t define his success as an actor. He doesn’t want to keep that mindset as he has set up his own success and has proven himself time and time again. Jackson is quite the actor and it won’t really be long till he would get one for himself.

Since receiving an honorary Oscar, Jackson has starred in The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, which we named one of the month’s finest series. He’ll also be reprising his role as Nick Fury in Marvel’s Secret Invasion, albeit he won’t be wearing his trademark eyepatch this time.
