The official release date for Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match is 2023, and Joel McHale will reprise his role as Johnny Cage’s voice in the game. The information was released on the same day that Mortal Kombat is commemorating its 30th anniversary during the Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind panel at New York Comic Con.

Everything Johnny

Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match will be the fourth installment in the animated film series, according to series producer Rick Morales, who was there. No other information was provided for this new Legends movie, but judging on the title, it clearly appears to center heavily on McHale’s character Johnny Cage.

The Iconic Voice

Johnny Cage was first voiced by McHale in Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge in 2020, and he made another appearance in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms in 2021. He didn’t appear in Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind, but he will again provide the character’s voice in this new movie.

And just recently, we saw the release of Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind, which follows Kano on a “brutal journey to take over Earthrealm” in which he must compete against Kenshi and Kuai Liang. Make sure you catch this movie too!
