The fourth season of Stranger Things is the most watched English television on Netflix. Since the release of part one in late May, Stranger Things 4 has been seen for more than 1.3 billion hours, according to Netflix’s quarterly financial figures.
No Way But Up
In terms of total viewing time, Netflix’s spooky 1980s romp has concluded its most recent season. The Lincoln Lawyer produced 277 million hours of viewing, The Umbrella Academy created 284 million, and the young adult drama Heartstopped generated 67 million.
Going Strong
It was discovered earlier this month that Stranger Things is the first English-language Netflix series to surpass 1 billion hours of viewing. Squid Game, which racked up a staggering 1.65 billion hours of viewing time in its first month, is the only Netflix program with a higher watch time.
However, not all of the news from Netflix’s report today was good. In light of increasing efforts to combat password sharing, the company disclosed it lost over one million users in the previous quarter. Along with announcing the launch date for its new ad-supported membership tier, Netflix also disclosed that it had acquired the cartoon company Animal Logic.
