People have been wondering what Microsoft will do with Activision Blizzard’s riches of new properties since the company was purchased for the equivalent of several small countries. While there have been rumors that it may bring back an old trilogy and give it the Master Chief Collection treatment, nothing concrete has been announced.

For Some Time Now

Fallout was one of the titles rumored to get the collection treatment after Microsoft purchased ZeniMax Media, Bethesda’s parent company, in 2020. While fans haven’t been very impressed with Fallout’s recent offerings, the series’ earlier games continue to be popular.

Aside from the Mods

Fans may be able to put their Fallout games down for good, as fresh information shows Microsoft is exploring an official sequel. Reporter Jeff Grubb had some intriguing firsthand knowledge about the universe of New Vegas to share on his show GrubbSnax, which was reported by VGC.

Though it may be all speculation, Microsoft has confirmed that they have entertained the thought of Fallout: New Vegas 2 as the first New Vegas game was such a hit with fans. While waiting is the only thing left to do, it’s only safe to assume that time will give us the answer to what we’ve all been wanting to find out for one of our favorite games.
